   主链含碳酸酯重复结构单元的一类聚合物 。英文缩写PC。结构为!!!J1665_1式中R代表二羟基化合物 HO桼桹H 的母核。聚碳酸酯可分为脂肪族、脂肪-芳香族和芳香族3种类型。最常见和具有工业价值的是双酚A[2 ,2-二(对羟苯基)丙烷] 型聚碳酸酯。
   双酚A型聚碳酸酯熔融温度220~230℃,密度 1.20克/厘米3,玻璃化温度140~150℃,折射率 1.5869。无毒,透明,机械强度(尤其冲击韧性)高,尺寸稳定性好,冷流倾向小,绝缘性能优良,耐老化,有自熄性和一定耐化学性(但不耐碱)。
    工业上采用双酚 A钠盐与光气反应通过界面缩聚合成(光气法),或双酚 A与碳酸二苯酯的酯交换反应通过熔融缩聚制备(酯交换法)。
   聚碳酸酯可用注射成型加工,用于能承受中小载荷的零部件、外壳 、防护玻璃 、大型灯罩、E级绝缘线圈框架等,也可流延或吹塑成膜,作 E 级绝缘材料。聚碳酸酯制品的内应力和应力开裂对制品质量影响很大,其混改性是克服这一缺点的途径之一。
