| 相变 phase transition 物质从一种相转变为另一种相的过程。物质系统中物理、化学性质完全相同，与其他部分具有明显分界面的均匀部分称为相。与固、液、气三态对应，物质有固相、液相、气相。任何气体或气体混合物只有一个相，即气相。液体通常只有一个相即液相，但正常液氦与超流动性液氦分属两种液相。对于固体，不同点阵结构的物理性质不同，分属不同的相，故同一固体可以有多种不同的相。例如，固态硫有单斜晶硫和正交晶硫两相；碳有金刚石和石墨两相；a铁、β铁、γ铁和δ铁是铁的4个固相；冰有7个固相。由单一物质构成的多相系统称为单元复相系，如冰水混合物和由不同固相构成的铁等。由多种不同物质构成的系统称为多元系，如水和酒精的混合物是二元系，空气是多元系。多元系可以是单相的，也可以是多相的。 相变是物质系统不同相之间的相互转变。固、液、气三相之间转变时，常伴有吸热或放热以及体积突变。单位质量物质在等温等压条件下，从一相转变为另一相时吸收或放出的热量称为相变潜热。通常把伴有相变潜热和体积突变的相变称为第一类（或一级）相变。不伴有相变潜热和体积突变的相变称为第二类（或二级）相变。例如在居里温度下铁磁体与顺磁体之间的转变；无外磁场时超导物质在正常导电态与超导态之间的转变；正常液氦与超流动性液氦之间的转变等。 相变是广泛存在的，在材料科学、热力工程、冶金工程、化学工业和气象学等领域都涉及各种相变过程。 |
