| 明式家具 中国明代和清代前期流行的家具式样。它是在宋代、元代家具基础上发展起来的，并在工艺、造型、材料、结构上都有重大突破。具有造型淳朴、大方，结构简练，突出木材天然纹理，不添加繁琐装饰，注重实用、美观等特点。在中外享有盛誉。明式家具品类齐全，按使用功能大致分为六大类。①坐卧类。有凳、墩、椅等。②承具类。有几、桌、案等。③卧具类。有床、榻等 ④ 庋具类。有盒、匣、奁、箱、柜、橱等。⑤架具类。有面盆架、镜架、衣架等。⑥屏具类。有砚屏 、炕屏等 。明式家具采用榫卯接合方式的框架结构，榫卯种类繁多，斗拼巧妙，结合牢固。明式家具多选用紫檀、花梨、红木等质地坚硬、纹理细密、色泽光润的木材。漆饰方法有桐油、擦蜡、大漆、雕漆等。还有式样细致精巧的金属配件起辅助装饰作用。
