植物形态:多年生草本,高0.5~1米,全株有粗毛,茎圆柱形,直立。叶互生,近圆形,5~7掌状浅裂,长5~7厘米,基部心脏形,裂片先端圆钝,边缘有锯齿,两面疏被短毛,脉5~7条,叶柄长,有茸毛。花淡红色,或白色而有紫晕,丛生于叶腋,小苞片3枚,花萼5裂,花瓣5片,雄蕊多数,花丝合生,雌蕊心皮多数,分离。蒴果着生于宿存萼筒内。 生态分布:根、子、叶、花入药,夏秋采用。 用途:性味甘,寒。根治恶疮,淋症,小儿吞钱不出,疳疮消渴,漏胎下血,乳痈,蛇虫螫伤。子治五脏六腑寒热,妇人乳内闭肿痛,痈疽,丹石毒,妊娠下血,生产困闷,血痢疟热。用量:种子2~5钱。
