用粗梳毛纱织制的一种紧密而有绒面的毛织物，因适用作海军制服而得名。海军呢采用半细毛或一、二级改良毛为原料，经纬用10～12公支粗梳毛纱，采用斜纹或破斜纹组织。织物重约390～490克/米2，经重缩绒和起毛整理，成品紧密厚实，具有较好的绒面。大多染成藏青色，也有墨绿、军绿、灰色、米色、驼色等。混纺海军呢采用20～30％粘胶与羊毛混纺纱交织。
