| 秦牧（1919～1992） 中国现代散文家。原名林觉夫。广东澄海人，生于香港。幼居新加坡，1932年回国。高中时开始发表文章。抗日战争期间，在韶关、桂林 、重庆等地从事救亡活动和文教工作，常在桂林《野草》等刊物发表杂文和散文。1946年去香港，专事写作。1949年8月到东江解放区，后来一直在广州工作，曾任暨南大学中文系主任、《羊城晚报》副总编辑、中国作家协会广东分会副主席、广东省文联副主席等职。著有中长篇小说《黄金海岸》、《愤怒的海》，独幕剧集《北京的祝福》，童话故事集《巨手》等。但以创作散文为主，出版过《秦牧杂文》、《贝壳集》、《花城》 、《潮汐和船》、《长街灯语》、《秋林红果》等专集和选集《长河浪花集》、《秦牧散文选》、《秦牧知识小品选》等20多种。其中《秦牧散文选》于1989年获全国首届优秀散文奖。代表作有《社稷坛抒情》、《古战场春晓》、《土地》、《花城》、《潮汐和船》、《鬣狗的风格》诸篇。他的散文熔博识、理趣和激情于一炉，联想灵巧，开掘深广，意到笔随，娓娓漫谈，承传和发展了现代散文史上的“谈话风”传统，因而成为当代中国散文的代表作家之一。
