性质:无色结晶或白色粉末。熔点152-155℃。易溶于水、醇、醚及丙酮,几乎不溶于苯。水溶液遇三氯化铁显蓝色,但又很快消失。有硫化物的气味。

制备方法:顺酐进行水合,生成顺丁烯二酸,再与硫化氢反应制得该品。实验室制备可将23.2g苹果酸、20g硫代乙酸溶于80ml乙酸乙酯中,回流1h。经冷却,加入400ml苯提取,加活性炭脱色,过滤除去炭,回收苯得粗品。经精制得32g乙酰基硫代苹果酸,熔点126℃。再进一步水解即得巯基丁二酸。

用途:该品是冷烫剂的主要组分,还用于络合隐蔽、生化研究、重金属解毒剂及橡胶工业。
