The developing stages and the improving process were discussed for totally low temperature shift process technology;in allusion to the existing problems in ferro-chromium middle temperature shift catalyst,the theoretical basis and technical advantage were described for making the totally low temperature shift process reformation.

When ammonium hydroxide was used as precipitant in the catalyst preparation by coprecipitation method, the main components of non chromium iron based catalyst, Fe 3+ , Mg 2+ and Zn 2+ , could not be coprecipitated completely under the same conditions.

Confirming the contents of iron,chromium and molybdenum in MT shift catalyst by decomposing sodium carbonate;
