发病率约1/4500。患儿眼裂狭小,耳畸形低位,枕骨后突,小颌,胸骨短小,骨盆小而大腿内收受限,摇椅底形足。手以特殊姿势握拳:拇指紧贴掌心,3、4指紧贴手掌,而2、5指压于其上。肌张力高,90%有先天性心脏病,常有室间隔缺损和动脉导管未闭。患儿生长发育迟缓,多于半岁内死亡。生存几年者有智力障碍。核型有三体型即47,+18,个别患儿核型为46/47,+18嵌合型。
