| 鲤 Cyprinus carpio；common carp 鲤形目鲤科鲤属的一种。体长，略侧扁；须2对。背鳍基长大于体长的1／3，背鳍和臀鳍均具一带锯齿的粗壮硬刺；身体背部灰黑色，侧线的下方到腹部淡白色而成年鱼近金黄色，背、尾鳍基部微黑，雄鱼的尾鳍和臀鳍呈橙红色。多栖息于江河、湖泊、水库、池塘的底层和水草丛生处。能耐寒、耐碱、耐缺氧，可在各种不良环境的水域中生存。在春季生殖后，转入肥育期，大量摄取食物，冬季游入深水底层越冬，入春后又转趋活跃。以底栖动物为主要食料，如螺蛳、蚌、蚬和昆虫的幼虫等，也食水草和丝状藻类。为暖温带鱼类。鲤是中国分布最广泛的鱼类。因其生活力强，生长迅速，食料来源广，能在静水中繁殖，食用价值高，多脂，味鲜美，而成为中国最早的养殖对象。经过长期人工选择，已培育出许多养殖品种，如红鲤、团鲤、肉鲤、呆鲤、荷包鲤、芙蓉鲤、镜鲤、丰鲤等。
