      通过缩合聚合使聚合物分子链上形成环状结构,同时放出小分子的反应。单体可以是AA-BB型或A-B型。20世纪50年代末,杂环高分子相继问世,其中大多数是由环化缩聚合成的。环化缩聚可以进行熔融缩聚;也可以进行溶液缩聚。单体溶于干燥的极性溶剂中,在室温或低温下进行缩聚,生成可溶性的预聚物,再进一步加热缩聚,可环化生成不溶、不熔的高聚物。例如室温下均苯四甲酸二酐和 4,4′-二氨基二苯醚在二甲基乙酰胺溶液中缩聚,生成聚酰胺酸(可溶性的预聚物,可加工成薄膜或其他制品),然后加热,环化缩聚成聚酰亚胺:
