    聚乙烯醇缩乙醛是由醋酸乙烯以甲醇或乙醇为介质,在过氧化苯甲酰存在下先反应生成聚醋酸乙烯酯,再于甲醇和硫酸存在下水解.加乙醛进行缩醛化、中和、沉淀、过滤、干燥而制得。略带微黄色的颗粒,无臭、无味。相对密度1.35,马丁耐热100 ℃.伸长率5%-10%,吸水性(24h/20℃)1.2%。溶于乙醇、丙酮、甲乙酮、环己酮、醋酸乙酯、二氯乙烷、苯、甲苯等。与酚醛树脂、硝酸纤维素、天然树脂等混溶。对金属、木材、皮革等有很强的粘接能力。
