Syngas production,gas to liquid by using Fisher-Tropsch synthesis,production of oxygenates,including methanol and dimethyl ether,and methanol to olefin were covered.

Plans are presented for developing and using natural gas in the remote gas field,technical characters of Gas to liquid(GTL)are described,the development direction of GTL in oil and gas industry is prospected.

Gas to Liquid (GTL) was the hot spotting in recent several years, in this paper, it mainly introduces the GTL s processing technologies and developmental promotion factors, and forecasts it in China s prospects for development.

However, problems exist in current gas pricing mechanism such as departing from market law and principle of optimal allocation of resources in upstream of gas industry and arbitrary pricing by downstream gas companies lead to seriously under-developing downstream market and low-efficiency gas utilization, which restrain the development of China’s natural gas market.

Calculation and analysis results results show that hydrate formation temperature of natural gas with very high sour content is higher than hydrate formation temperature of natural gas with little sour content.
