将鲜海带从养殖筏上连同苗绳一块割下，在海中洗刷干净，卸船时在海滩注意不要拖带上泥沙杂质，选干净地按一层海带一层盐码垛，总用盐量为5%，堆放4～5天，倒垛一次，使其腌渍均匀，约10天左右。拆垛日晒，晒至八成干时，入库去绳，甩沙去杂，再出风晒干，按标准分级打捆。
