| 石油库 oil bank 具有一定规模的储存石油或石油产品的综合性设施。按储油品种分为原油库和成品油库。按储油方式又可分为地面油库、隐蔽油库、山洞油库、水封石洞油库和海上油库等。石油库的主要业务是收发油作业和油品储存。业务操作是由沟通各个设施的管路和阀门所组成的工艺流程的切换来完成。石油库的主要设施有储油罐、油泵房、装卸油栈桥、码头、加热炉以及各类辅助生产设施等。根据安全要求和业务功能，划分为储油区（石油库的核心部位）、装卸作业区、辅助生产区和行政管理区。按照油缸总容量的大小，中国石油库分为一级油库（50000米3以上）、二级油库（10000～50000米3）、三级油库（2500～10000米3）、四级油库（500～2500米3）。 油罐按照建筑材质分为金属罐和非金属罐。普遍采用的是地上立式圆柱形钢质油罐。20世纪80年代末世界上已能建造单罐容积为20万米3的钢质浮顶油罐。
