  7射线土壤湿度计(了ray 5011 moisturemeter)应用了射线通过土壤及所含水分之后强度减弱的原理以测定土壤含水量的仪器。土壤中的固体颗粒和水分都能吸收了射线而使射线强度减弱。在土壤固体部分不变的情况下,y射线穿过土壤后,其强度变化主要取决于土壤含水量的变化。在实际工作中,将探测器埋入被测点后,测得的7射线强度为I。,并立即用烘干法取样测定该点的上壤含水量作为初始值W。。经过时间t后,土壤水分发生了变化,其含水量用W,表示,所测出的了射线强度为I‘,则土壤水分的变化量为△W,△W可用下式求出△W(毫米)=Inlo一Inl‘ M式中M为水的吸收系数,故环飞一W。+△W。 这类仪器可测定较大范围内的土壤含水量,误差一般为1%一2%。测定结果不受土壤紧密度等物理结构的影响,但仪器较复杂,使用时需有防护设备,多用于某些研究工作。另一方面,土壤中常有放射性物质存在,也会影响测定结果。(杨正明)
