This article introduced the domestic vanadium resources situation and production technologies,research status of V2O5 production problems and its development prospects.

Analysis and Prospect on the comprehensive utilization telhnology of titanium resources in Panzhihua-XichangInstitute of Process Engineering,CAS;

China holds the largest proportion of titanium resources in the world,around 48%,and the industrial type of the minerals is comparatively complete,including original as well as secondary minerals.

Titanium resources of Kunming area are distributed mainly in Fuming,Luquan,Anning county and Xishan district, which mainly consist of titaniciron placer ore,and the ore contains uncomplicated minerals and has fine separation property.

On the basis of current state of titanium resource and its exploitation in Yunnan, the exploitation and utilization strategy for the rich resource of titanium is discussed, and the necessity and feasibility of establishing a 50～60 kt/a titanium white plant by chlorination process are also discussed.

It’s of great importance for a corporation’s economic effect to enhance the degree of self-sufficiency of roller,lower its consumption,make full use of natural resourses superiority and largen the service range of V-Ti iron.
