2 0 0 2年AAPG年会对层序地层学研究新进展的总结主要包括 :①提出运动学层序和体系域、地球半径周期性变化引起的深海盆地千米级规模的海平面变化、深海页岩层序识别和陆架边缘崩塌基准面及崩塌层序等新理论 ,提出气候变化是高频层序形成的主控因素 ,验证了米兰柯维奇旋回中 40× 10 4a离心率周期造成海平面变化的理论 ;②在碳酸盐岩层序地层学、成岩作用与层序地层学关系研究方面以及层序地层学在含油气系统、圈闭预测、储集层和油气藏精细描述、烃源岩预测以及油藏开发动态模拟等方面的应用均取得较大进展 ;③除传统的露头观察、岩心描述、地震和测井资料处理与解释之外 ,新增加了古生物高分辨率层序地层研究、样品分析测试与有机地化研究、三维可视化、地震智能化分析、地质统计、数值模拟与模式识别等新方法。
