与新型隐球菌荚膜多糖抗体发生特异性结合的物质。血清学方法检测隐球菌荚膜多糖体抗原是早期诊断的主要手段。这是一项特异性强、快速、灵敏的诊断方法,从抗原滴度的升降可提示疗效、病程和预后。患病后抗原滴度上升,用药治疗后脑脊液中的抗原滴度下降,直至降到正常。说明疾病已经痊愈。如果抗原滴度不变或上升,是疾病恶化和预后不良的反应;如果抗原滴度起伏,则提示疾病的迁延反复;疾病痊愈后,如果血清学检验又多次出现抗原,效价在1∶8或1∶8以上,应考虑为复发的可能。
