Aimed at the geological characteristics of fracture cavity gas reservoir of the Lower Permian in Sichuan Basin, this paper proposes that the vertical sealing of a fault should be stressed and the formation pressure should be considered as the direct indicator in appraising the preservation conditions of the fracture cavity gas reservoir in the faulted zone.
