  即垂体前叶,是脑垂体的重要组成部分,来源于体腔的外胚层,起自上腭向上突出的颅颊囊(又称拉克囊)。腺垂体能分泌生长激素、泌乳素、促甲状腺素、促肾上腺皮质激素、促性腺激素、黑色素细胞刺激素。直接作用于身体各种组织或作用于靶腺器官。
