| 芍药 Paeonia lactiflora；peony 毛茛科（Ranunculaceae）属宿根花卉。又称将离、殿春。全属约35种，产于北半球，中国有14种，为传统名花之一。 肉质根，须根较少。茎丛生，高60～120厘米。羽状复叶，顶梢处为单叶。花1朵至数朵，着生枝端，花大色艳，紫红、粉红、黄或白色，也有淡绿色。品种分类标准各国不一，而以花型分类居多。中国一般分为4类：单瓣类、千层类、楼子类、台阁类。各类又分型，共11型。性极耐寒，中国北方能露地越冬。要求排水良好的壤土或砂质壤土。忌在盐碱地及低洼处栽种。喜阳光充足，但可耐半荫。主要用分株法繁殖。播种繁殖多用于育种或培养根砧。主要病害有叶斑病等。花大色美，常与牡丹配合，作成专类花园，也适用于花坛、公园、庭园、绿地种植，或作切花插瓶观赏。根可入药，其加工品称白芍或赤芍。
