【前言不对后语】
指说话前后不照应，漏洞百出。原为禅语。《续灯录》卷十一：“曰：‘向上宗乘又且如何举唱？’师曰：‘前言不及后语。’”“向上宗乘”又称“向上一路”，即禅宗直指人心的特别法门。“前言不及后语”就是说语言是无法充分表达“向上宗乘”的，只能靠内心的证悟。后俗语中也有用前言不搭后语。如《官场现形记》第六回：“这位王协台一脸烟气，问他营里的事情，多是前言不对后语。”又如袁静等《新儿女英雄传》第二回：“大水下决心发言，憋出一身汗，前言不搭后语，结结巴巴的说了一泼滩。”（李明权）
