胆红素由肝脏排入肠腔再吸收回肝的过程。胆汁进入肠道后,结合胆红素在肠道中经细菌作用还原为尿胆原及粪胆原,大部分随粪便排出,一部分尿胆原被肠道重吸收,再由肝脏排入胆道,此过程即胆红素肝肠循环。
