大面积烧伤后细胞免疫和体液免疫功能低下，应用广谱抗生素输入了带有病毒的血或血浆等均可导致病毒感染。以并发带状疱疹、病毒性肝炎等较多见。其临床表现和治疗方法与内科患者相同。
