Direct projections from the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG), dorsal raphe nucleus (DR), nucleus raphe mag-nus (RM) and a part of gigantocellular nucleus (GiA) to the nucleus tactus solitarius (NTS) were examined in the rat by using flourogold (FG) retrograde tracing technique.
