传说中上古时代的医学家，黄帝的大臣。曾向神农时代的名医僦贷季学习医学。《内经》中称之为“天师”。因《内经》主要采用黄帝与岐伯君臣问对的方式，所以常称其为岐黄家言，进而把医术称为岐黄之术，甚至以岐黄作为中医的代称。
