| 东沙岛 中国东沙群岛中唯一的岛屿。古称南澳气，又名大东沙。北纬20°42′，东经 116°43′。发育在东沙环礁的西部礁盘上，呈新月形，俗名月牙岛。东西长约2800米，南北宽约700米。面积1.08平方千米。地势东北部稍高，西南部稍低，中部低洼 ，平均高度约 6 米。年均温 25.1℃ ，最冷月均温20.6 ℃，年降水量1459毫米。岛上野草遍布 ，间有麻风桐、仙人掌 、 野菠萝等。岛东南有椰子树。岛上有淡水层保存。有清代中国渔民建造的渔村和庙宇，如大王庙，毁后重建为天后宫。岛上曾有气象台、无线电台和灯塔，便利海上航行。 |
