The differential governing equations for the consolidation of composite ground with granular columns are established,which can consider the gradual variation of horizontal permeability coefficient of soft soil in a drainage influential zone caused by disturbance during granular column construction.

A general analytical solution is given to the consolidation problem for the composite ground with granular columns under time-dependent loading and arbitrary variation of horizontal permeability coefficient in the soil of drain influence zone with radial distance.

Then,the permeability characteristics of asphalt mixtures with different gradations were analyzed with the new device and the permeability data were analyzed statistically,on this basis and with reference to the related specification at home and abroad,the critical permeability coefficients of asphalt mixtures were presented.
