| 海涂 tidal mud flat 淤泥质海岸潮间浅滩。平均大潮高潮位至平均大潮低潮位之间的泥滩。沙质海岸的潮间浅滩称海滩。二者的动力作用、物质组成、形成与演化过程均不相同，开发与利用也各异。海涂地段海水活动频繁，侵蚀、淤积变化复杂。一般为几千米，最宽的可超过10千米。一些海岸带由于河流挟带泥沙入海，每年海涂都有自然增长。如中国的大河每年入海泥沙达20余亿吨，大部分沉积在河口海岸，一些岸线的岸段每年向外延伸数十至数百米。海涂是丰富的土地资源。利用海涂发展水产养殖业为沿海各国所重视。世界海洋养殖业年产鱼类约50万吨，海藻栽培年产130万吨。许多海洋国家还围海造地。荷兰自13世纪以后，围垦海涂已达7100平方千米，占全国陆地面积的1／5。中国从唐代已开始较大规模的围垦，1949年以后已围垦了53.6万公顷。根据海涂性质的不同，可以用于晒盐，种水稻，开发各种生物资源，如贝类、珊瑚礁、鱼、藻类、红树林等。 |
