| 中山大学 中国多科性综合大学。设在广东省广州市。原名广东大学，1924年由民主主义革命家孙中山创办，并为学校写了校训——“博学之，审问之，慎思之，明辨之，笃行之”。1926年7月 ，为纪念孙中山先生 ，学校改名为中山大学。1935年成立研究院，开始招收研究生。1938年10月，日本侵略军侵入广州，学校西迁云南澂江（今澄江）。抗日战争胜利以后，迁回广州。中华人民共和国建立后，经过1952年高等院校院系调整，以原中山大学和岭南大学的文、理学院为基础，将广州以及中南地区部分高等学校的有关系科调整进来，中山大学成了一所文理科综合性大学。学校设有中国语言文学、历史学、哲学、法律、人类学、社会学、外国语言文学、数学、力学、计算机科学、物理学、无线电电子学、化学等23个系，研究生院、管理学院、地球与环境科学学院、生命科学学院等7个学院，并设有东南亚历史、中国古文献、高分子、昆虫、环境科学、计算中心、测试中心等39个研究所（中心）。中山大学是华南学生进步运动的中心，毛泽东、周恩来、刘少奇、恽代英等许多中国共产党的重要领导人都曾亲自到该校和附属中学讲演、兼课，鲁迅、郭沫若、许德珩、周谷城等许多知名学者曾先后应聘来校授课。
