岁月之痕——双街 双街，位于汉阳区东北角，横坐在汉水之滨：西起米行巷，东至南岸嘴，长不足400米，宽不过两丈，像一位耄耋老者，在岁月的长途里，跋涉得累了，默默地蹲在汉水与长江交合之处，咀嚼曾经有过的热闹和辉煌． 清代以来，如果从汉阳到汉口的集家嘴、四官殿，双街下的渡口，绝对称得上是要津。于是乎，这里，岸上是店铺毗连，短短的街道上，天天是人挤人，人挨人，可谓摩肩接踵；岸边，有篷的货驳，无篷划子，天天是船挤船，船挨船，可谓舟樯云集；这样一来，这里就给人以街中套街、街中有街的感觉双街之得名，或源于此乎？ 双街当汉水与长江交汇处，得此地利之惠而兴，亦受此地势之殊而衰：汉水如一纯情女子，从陕西勉县出发，经汉中，过陨西，穿秦岭，下巴山，千里跋涉，在这里与长江拥吻，那一份激动激情，搅起的漩流激涌，年复一年，日复一日地冲刷着南岸嘴，剥蚀着双街，河岸逐年崩塌。于是，民国以后，商铺别迁，商市冷落，街面日渐萧条，至新中国成立前夕，此处只是一片民居。 这似乎昭示着，在人与自然尚能和谐相处的岁月里，商贾气浓稠的双街，退避了，仿佛一位隐者，双街隐退到都市繁华的边缘，在市井深处守望着一份恬静和安详。 曾经，不止一次地在双街漫步，每一次，都有穿越时空隧道、岁月倒流的感觉。 那一方方铺街的条石，似乎都是历史的册页，被无数的穿鞋的脚赤裸的脚踏过，无数的伤心事激情事碾过，留下的这些坑坑洼洼里，仿佛刻蚀着太多的沉重，让我们现实的脚板，感受着岁月的滋味，可以品出几分神秘，几分宁静，几分怅惘…… 眼下已难得领略这番滋味了，当然，这或许并非憾事：如今，汉阳南岸嘴，疮痍满目的河岸，被浮雕般的护岸石坡取代；残破的板壁房屋，也已拆除一空，代之以翠绿的草、缤纷的花；一座拱桥，彩虹也似的，从集家嘴飘至南岸嘴． 我们的城市，欣喜地看到，双街，就这样，盛装走进了新的世纪，拥着鲜花，驾着霓虹，实现了又一轮涅……
