第一级价格歧视
第一级价格歧视在垄断情况下，厂商将尽可能对每个顾客所购买的每一产品按其所愿意支付的最大价格出售。这个最大价格称为该顾客的保留价格。而对每一顾客按其保留价格出售的情况叫做第一级价格歧视。然而，一个厂商很可能无法对每一顾客收取不同价格，除非只有少数几个顾客。首先，厂商通常并不知道每个顾客的保留价格。其次，即使厂商可以询问每个顾客愿意付出的价格，但很可能得不到真实的答案。无论如何，宣称自己愿意付出的很少，对顾客来说最有利，因为那样可以避免被收取较高价格。实际上.完全的第一级价格歧视几乎永远不可能实现。
