雌激素在骨代谢的作用
雌激素能使绝经后加速的骨转换率恢复绝经前状态，减少骨丢失，可预防发生绝经后骨质疏松症；绝经后及时应用并持续5年以上者，脊椎骨折率及髋部骨折率均比不用者低。其作用机制未全阐明，但均认为雌激素经多途径影响骨代谢：①降低骨对甲状旁腺激素的敏感性，减慢骨的吸收；②增加体内降钙素量，减少骨吸收；③加快肠道钙吸收；④减低肾对钙的排出；⑤对骨骼有直接作用，通过成骨细胞释放的细胞素，降低破骨细胞的功能，抑制骨吸收。而且雌激素对缓解更年期症状有特效，现多选做预防骨质疏松药物，口服或经皮吸收方便。剂量因不同制剂而异。
