描述Sabiaceae清风藤科，双子叶植物，3属，约150种，分布于热带至温带地区，我国有2属，54种，产西南部至台湾。乔木、灌木或藤本；叶互生，单叶或羽状复叶，无托叶；花两性或杂性异株，小，排成腋生或顶生的聚伞花序或圆锥花序；萼4－5裂，裂片不相等，覆瓦状排列；花瓣4－5，覆瓦状排列，内面2枚常遥小；雄蕊5，与花瓣对生，有时仅2枚有花药；子房上位，2－3室，基部常有花盘，每室有胚珠1－2颗，花柱多少合生；果为核果。我国有：Meliosma，Sabia2属。
