象耳寺,在距县城以北十五公里象耳山中。层岩峭壁,神工鬼斧,奇态万状。"象耳"旁有一岩约十丈余宽,上刻"象耳"二字,字径约二尺余。象耳风光迷人。寺周有象鼻山、象耳山、檫耳岩环抱,松柏茂密,斑竹万竿 ,青翠欲滴。寺前太白湖,主叉道总计长达10华里以上,曲折回环,山水一色,荡舟其间,静得出奇。
天下名山僧占多。象耳山气势灵秀,地灵人杰。八百寿星彭祖家宅于此。象耳寺坐落在象耳根上。象为灵物,是佛教的吉祥物。相传世尊释伽牟尼的母亲曾梦六牙白象入怀生释伽牟尼,故佛教又名象教,佛法又名象法,这是大圣寺(今象耳寺)选址于此的主要依据之一。她不但位居川西南岷江水陆要津,而且在一千多年前就成为蜀中有名佛教胜地,吸引历代名人留题吟诗。
为了弘扬茶叶文化,展现茶叶与长寿的关系,就在象耳寺不远处的江口古镇茶楼子规划了"武阳茶肆"。重现远古时代的风采,并结合现代文化生活方式,展示出不同国度、民族的茶馆和饮共民俗,有古代武阳茶肆、富士茶道馆、蒙古奶茶、英美红茶、茶文化博物馆等近10种建筑规划。
