Based on building the coastal backbone forest strip in Ruian,Zhejiang Province,the new building concept of the coastal backbone forest strip as the ecosystem congeries was put forward,which takes ecosystem for the basic element of coastal backbone forest strip,in the aspect of the inner structure of backbone forest strip.

Five different regeneration methods for trunk shelterbelts of Casuarina eqiusetifolia on coastal sand were analyzed by osculating value method.

Experments of afforestation with slash pine at wind gap s ,interplanting of slash pine under sparse trunk shelterbelts and mixed plantatio n of the pine showed that adaptability of slash pine afforested at wind gaps in sandy land is better.
