Suitability evaluation of the unused land based on GIS;

Based on the analysis of classification and contributing factor of unused land of coastal plain in the east of Hebei Province,the author probed into the assumption about shortern and forward exploitation and utilization of unused land in the region;adoanced the specifsc view on exploitation and harness auording to the differant type of unused land.

Taking 4 indexes, including a gradient of slopes,a thickness of soils,a degree of exposed bedrock and condition of traffic,as evaluational factors,authors make a suitability appralsal of unused land inFulin,Sichuan province,by mapping and analyse the potential productivity of suitability-types of un-used land showed by the yield and value of agricultural products.

The demands of land will be increasing under the background of development in west district,is has very important meaning in improving ecological balance and allying supply and demand antinomy in developing unwrought land resources rationally.
