金黄蜜枣产于湖北随州市，以"色泽如樱、透明见核、味甜似蜜、沙酥爽口"闻名，是湖北十大名产之一。
清乾隆年间，随州胡凌兴首创金黄蜜枣，州官奉献给皇帝高宗，深得赞誉，被列为贡品。从此，蜜枣名声大振。
