This paper introduce slope disintegration and their disaster characteristics in South China based on the information of regional survey and orientation study.

Based on field investigation wildly, 6 typical profiles of slope disintegration were chosen, being for field test and laboratory analysis, relationships between slope disintegration and rock-soil characteristics was discussed, and compress the rock-soil characteristics index of slope disintegration into several comprehensive factors by factor analysis.

The survey and study on the vegetation in the area of collapsing erosion in south of Jiangxi showed that:The vegetation of the severe erosion areas is a piece of secondary vegetation that mainly consists of mesic or xeric-mesic perennial herb.
