性质:系指放射性核俘获一个核外轨道电子而使核内的一个质子转化为中子和中微子的过程。由于K层电子离核最近,它们被核俘获的概率比其他各层轨道电子的要高,因此轨道电子俘获也常被称为K电子俘获。以β+衰变的核都能产生轨道电子俘获。一般核的原子序数越高、半衰期越长、伴随核衰变的核自旋变化越大,则发生轨道电子俘获的概率越高。
