| 早熟禾(blue grass) 禾本科早熟禾属的一个种，学名Poa pratensis L.,多年生草本植物。又名草地早熟禾、光茎蓝草、草原莓系。饲用作物，有保土和绿化作用。北半球温带地区均有野生种分布，主要分布在亚洲、非洲，中国东北、西北以及西南等地均有。 须根，有根茎。茎直立，丛生，株高25-40cm。叶片蓝绿色，条形，柔软，叶舌膜质，短而钝，有时退化。无叶耳。圆锥花序，开展，小穗密生顶端。顶上的花不完全或退化。种子小，千粒重0.35-0.4g。 早熟禾适于湿润冷凉气候中生长，耐寒性较强，可以在高寒地区越冬。不需旱，也不耐热。可以开花结实，一般3-4年生长最旺，以后逐渐衰退。 种子小，宜浅播，要求整地良好。每公顷播种量3.5-7.5kg。一般每公顷产干草3.%-6.5吨。种子产量450-900kg／ha.。 早熟禾植株不高，密丛生，茎叶柔软。耐牧性好，用来建立人工放牧场，也可用于建立草坪。其干草含水分7.8%，粗蛋白质10.8%，粗脂肪4.3%，粗纤维25.1%，无氮浸出物45.6%，灰分6.4%。
