| 猛水蚤目 Harpacticoida 桡足纲的一目。体形多样，呈圆筒形、卵圆形或梨形。活动关节位于第六胸节末 ， 其 他各节间也能自由屈伸活动。大部分生活在海洋，仅一小部分生活于淡水或半咸水中。猛水蚤类雌性腹部由4或5节组成，雄性分5节，腹部最末1节称肛节，后缘为尾叉，尾叉末端具若干刚毛。胸足均同形。多数营底栖生活。食物以碎屑、动物尸体、蠕虫等为主，弯曲爬行，能在水中间断地跳跃。它们常是大型底栖动物或浮游动物的食物，种类繁多，已发现有2800种，分隶30余科。 |
