补充资料：北京大学音乐研究会
中国音乐社团。前身为1916年秋成立的以活跃课余生活为宗旨的北京大学音乐团。不久改名北京大学音乐会，分国乐、西乐 2部，进行过一些演出，但组织和活动都比较简单。1919年 1月在此基础上成立了北京大学音乐研究会，由校长蔡元培任会长。初建时，该会宗旨为"研究音乐，陶养性情"；1920年10月修订章程，改宗旨为"研究音乐，发展美育"。参加该会的会员为校内外爱好音乐的人士,初有30多人，后增至200多人。设钢琴、提琴、古琴、丝竹、昆曲5组，后又增设唱歌班。古琴组附设中乐唱歌班，丝竹组附设丝竹改进会。各组分别教习，先后有萧友梅、杨仲子、王露、赵子敬、陈仲子、查士鉴、杨昭恕及一些外籍教师共10余人受聘为导师。1921年增设乐队组（西洋管弦乐），并筹备成立皮簧组。该会不仅为本会培养音乐人才，还举办"特别班",为外省培养出一批音乐师资。在成立近3年时间里，举行过30多次音乐演出，编辑出版了当时影响最大的音乐期刊《音乐杂志》，在发展音乐教育、传播音乐知识和推动社会音乐活动等方面，都起了重要作用。1922年12月，在音乐研究会基础上成立了北京大学附设音乐传习所，该会遂告结束。
