beiiing daxue yaogan yu dili xinxi xitong yoniiusuo北京大学遥感与地理信息系统研究所(InstituteofRemote Sensing and GIS，Beijing Universitr)是在1卯5年北京大学地质地理系的遥感研究组的基础上发展起来的。于1983年经国家教委批准，成立了北京大学遥感技术应用研究所，到1994年又正式改为现名。又名国家遥感中心技术培训部。 该所的中心任务是培养中、高级遥感和地理信息系统方面的人才，开展应用基础理论与技术研究，承担国家和生产部门的重大任务。在国家“六五”、“七五”等科技攻关期间，承担了一些重大攻关项目，如“山西省农业资源遥感调查”，“内蒙古自治区草场资源的遥感调查”，“全国土壤侵蚀调查”及“河南省冬小麦遥感估产”等，作出了重要贡献，获得了国家科技进步奖和部委奖。另外在国际合作方面，如与马来西亚国家遥感中心，蒙古国家遥感中心等协作方面，均取得重大的成绩。 该所在遥感信息处理，遥感信息模型、地理信息理论、地理信息模型及地理信息系统软件开发等方面，力量较强，具有特色。今后研究将以多种信息集成机理及技术研究，在网络环境下的、不同部门的、分布式的多媒体地理信息系统和地理信息科学作为重点。(承继成)
