Based on the idea of “the principle of cognitive economy” and from the point of informationprocessing and cognitive thinking, the paper makes an analysis of the language materials collected from CAEXPOand the analysis reveals that there are translation inadequacies such as semantic redundancy, overuse ofmodifiers and Chinglish in the translated investment guides.
基于“认知经济原则”的思想,本文从信息处理与认知思维角度出发,对从中国-东盟博览会上收集来的语料进行剖析,发现投资指南翻译中存在着词汇语义蕴含冗余信息、译文修辞过多、中式英语现象普遍存在等问题,指出翻译要适当调控译入语的信息量,以便更好地提高应用翻译质量。
