The closed loop performance is not so satisfying when use it to the process that has resonance,integrate or unstable transfer function,and the step response usually has excessive overshoot and vibration,due to its structure limitation,in this case,we can get more satisfying response by using PI-PD controller.

In this paper,a PI/PD controller is investigated on the basis of particle swarm optimization(PSO) to decrease peak overshoot,settling time and rise time,PSO is an evolutional algorithm inspired by social behavior of flocks of birds when they are searching for food,the effectiveness of the proposed optimization algorithm is tested in the common industrial models.
本文利用微粒群优化(PSO)算法对PI/PD控制器进行研究,PSO算法是一种进化算法,源于鸟类捕食行为的模拟,以工业过程中常见的对象模型进行了仿真实验,得到的仿真结果表明本文提出的方法可以获得满意的控制效果(如上升时间、稳定时间、超调量等),PSO算法为PI/PD控制器的设计提供了一条有效途径。
