This paper expounds the concepts,features and relevant technologies of data warehouse,and probes into the system structure of library data warehouse and its application in modern library.

Chinese modern library faces five aspects of innovations including the scientificness of the thought,the systematicness of the subject,the rationality of the management,the compoundness of the human resource and multi-quality of the library collection.

Through comparing the network resource environment,consciousness of management and service,and personnel and level of organization,this paper advances some suggestions on constructing the modern library in China.

Only by carrying out library modernization can we establish comprehensive nationalities university commanded key sujects of important influences at home and abroad,because library provides documental information for teaching,scientific research and learning construction.
