形态特征:木犀科素馨属直立灌木植物，高2-3米。茎分枝。叶互生，羽状复叶，小叶5-7枚，近革质，卵形、椭圆形至长圆形，长约2厘米，叶脉不明显，通常沿中脉及边缘有柔毛。5一7月开花，聚伞花序顶生，具3-8朵芯;花梗长3-20毫米;花萼无毛或近无毛，裂片三角形或钻形，长约1毫米;花冠黄色，筒长8-17毫米，裂片长6-7毫米。浆果宽卵形。
生境分布:生于海拔2300-3100米的林中或灌丛中。分布于西藏、云南、四川、甘肃、山东、广东等省。伊朗、阿富汗、喜马拉雅山区、缅甸也有。
