酮醇酸还原异构酶(KARI)是植物和微生物体内支链氨基酸——缬氨酸、亮氨酸及异亮氨酸生物合成的关键酶之一,同乙酰乳酸合成酶(ALS)一样可以作为设计除草剂的靶标酶,通过抑制酶的活性可以中断支链氨基酸的合成而使植物死亡,达到除草目的。
